To whom it may concern, I have hired vehicle's from Supratman (Man) on trips to Lombok since a referral from a friend in 2005. Every trip, Man has always delivered high quality vehicles, for the right price and with a level of service that makes it a pleasure to deal with Man. Man has also assisted my trips to Lombok with airport pick-ups and drop-offs in Mataram, transport to and from the Gili islands as well as additional vehicles on short notice. I have referred many friends and family to Man whenever they travel to Lombok, and like myself they are always pleased with the professional manner in which Man conducts himself. I would not hesitate to recommend Man as the first point of contact for any person intending to travel to Lombok. I was impressed with Supratman's
professionalism in providing not only prompt replies to my
endless questions, but also his patience and sincerity in
answering them. And I am glad we made the right choice.
Special thanks to Pak Erwin and the driver for entertaining
our requests to try the sate Ikan and Jagung Bakar even
though the day trip had exceeded the stipulated time. My
heartfelt appreciation to Man and his gang (Epol, Oyib,
porters-cum-cook and driver) for making the trek a truly
unforgettable experience, thanks to all your encouragement and
laughter. :)
Warmest regards,
Nur Rasidah

Subject : impressions of lombok
When I first started making our travel
arrangements for Indonesia, I did not just want to go to
Bali. I also wanted to go to Lombok becuase everybody who
has been there, loved it. Now I totally understand why! We
stayed in Sengiggi, an area on the west coast of Lombok. It's a small little community with a few resorts/hotels and
a number of restaurants, bars and cafes. It is not tacky
and commercialised at all. In fact, there were very few
tourists there - the locals and the tourists mixed and
interacted easily and happily. We stayed at the Sheraton.
OH! What a dream! Everything about the Sheraton Sengiggi
was wonderful - the staff, the rooms, the garden, the spa (gotta
try the chocolate massage!), the swimming pool and the
rooms! If you want luxury in Lombok, Sheraton Sengiggi is
definitely the way to go!
My friend and I decided to go on a
snorkelling trip to Gili Nanggu with a local tour guide (Supratman
Samsi). He recommended to take us to this island to go snorkelling so we followed his advice. We drove from Sengiggi to the port. It was a fantastic way to see the
countryside and the villages in Lombok. He was very
informative about the Indonesian culture, the religions,
beliefs and customs of his country. On the way, we stopped
at a pottery factory. It was very interesting to see the
lady making pottery.
When we got to the small island (only one
hotel on the island), we could see why Supratman recommended
to come here. It was gorgeous! The water was crystal clear
and the sand was so soft and white! He took us out in the
water (along with some bread) and the fish were completely
surrounding us! It was amazing! All the fish you could
ever imagine were there - right in front of your face! They
were swimming all around you! We saw lots of starfish, colourful coral and of course tons of beautiful fish. This
was by far the best snorkelling I have done (I have
snorkelled in Thailand and the Philippines). If you like snorkelling, I highly recommend doing this day trip!
In Sengiggi, my friends and I ended up at
HAPPY CAFE every night. The band there is fantastic playing
anything and everything that you request! VERY talented. The owner and his son are very kind, warm and welcoming
people. They made the effort to come over and talk to us
and treated us with the best hospitality one could
imagine!!!!! Definitely visit Happy Cafe if you are in Sengiggi! (the melon martinis are to-die-for!).
We spent one night on Gili Trawangan. It's
nicknamed the "party island". You can easily see why
because the main "drag" is filled with restaurants and
bars. There is a wonderful laid-back feeling about this
place.
Everybody is relaxed and there to have a good
time. The snorkelling trip we took was fantastic! We went
to a few different places to snorkel. We even saw sea
turtles!! That was the highlight of the snorkelling! The Gilis are definitely a must-see! Try to spend at least one
(if not a few) nights there!
For our final night back in Sengiggi, we
decided to stay at the Sengiggi Reef Resort. It was a nice
place with cute little huts. It will be much better when
they have a pool. You'll have the perfect little paradise with a nice pool and the beautiful ocean right at your feet!
If you have any questions, need help with
travel arrangements or anything, I highly recommend
Supratman Samsi to be your travel agent,
tour guide or whatever. He is extremely helpful, patient
and accommodating. His English is fantastic so there are no
problems with communication! MAN is the man to
talk to for any travel / accommodations / tours for Lombok! When I return, I will definitely ask him for help again!
Sincerely,
Sonya Yong

Subject: Great organizer
I have been coming to Lombok every year for the last 6 years and every year Man (Supratman
Samsi) meets us at the airport or harbour with our car. Man's prompt attention to my request by either Phone or email have made my visits so much easier. He always goes the 'extra mile' getting local flight details for us, supplying contact number, bringing maps & clear easy directions. This Level of service what i have always received from Man, along with the good car and reliable cars that he delivers and very reasonable rates that he charges is the best that I have found in my 12 years at visiting Indonesia, not just the last 6 years in Lombok. Subject: LOMBOK, HEERLIJK EILAND!
TOUR COMPANY, LOMBOK INDONESIA, mobile +62 8175773060.
DOEN!
