Places Of Interest around
Senggigi
Batu Bolong Temple
Batu Bolong temple is one of
the Hindu holy temple located at Batu Bolong beach 10
minutes walk from Senggigi center. Batu Bolong means "the
Holow Rock", this temple facing to Mount Agung in Bali.
It's a such a great place to watch the majestic sunset
with Mount Agung as the idyllic back drop over the Lombok
straits. The impressive Hindu temple built on a black
outcrop of rock. The temple mostly held a ceremony such
Galungan, Kuningan, Purnama (full moon), and Odalan. In
other word you can see Bali in Lombok but You can't see
Lombok in Bali.
Senggigi Art Market
The Art Market Senggigi, is located between the Santosa Villas & Resort and Sheraton Hotel. There are numerous small stalls selling handicrafts and souvenirs from around
Lombok, as well as T-shirts, sarongs and clothing similar to Bali's markets. On the beach, line up restaurants and cafes are nice place to catch the ocean breezes during the day,
also try sea kayak paddle, Surf Lesson with Adventure
Lombok
or to dine at night watching the lights of the fisihing boats accross the ocean.
Kerandangan Valley,
with a popular beach nearby and some nice hotels and
villas Slightly out of town in pretty valley. Also left
and right hander surf breaks can found here, work on mid
high and high tide with reef bottom, most local surfers
crowded on the week end.
Mangsit has developed
as an accommodation alternative to Senggigi, with boutique
style hotels positioned along the breathtaking bays of
this section of coast. Two surf breaks are found here The
Wall and the Mangsit Pipe line, the wall located just on
the cliff between Kerandangan and Mangsit front of Alang
Alang Hotel good left hander wave for short board rider,
Mangsit Pipe Line good for long boarder surf, it's such
good left hander rolling wave with reef bottom, both surf
breaks work on mid high and high tide.
Malimbu and Nipah are
two picturesque bays less than half hour from Senggigi
with motor bike or car, which are good for snorkelling and
getting away from it all. For surfers this the right
hander secret spot, it's work on high tide and full tide.
